League Rules
All ALTA, USTA and other similar league teams shall first notify the CSE Tennis Committee, Tennis Chairperson and Tennis Director and obtain approval from the Committee prior to establishing Creekstone Estates as its home court. This rule does NOT apply to those utilizing CSE courts for individual singles or doubles league play, such as T2 or Ultimate Tennis, as long as the singles player or one member of the doubles team is a CSE resident.
All team captains shall be CSE residents unless specifically approved as an exception by the CSE Tennis Committee due to unique circumstances. All request can be sent to the Tennis Chairperson.
All new USTA / ALTA teams must fill out a New Team Form, read the New/Existing ALTA/USTA Team and General Tennis Rules, abide by the rules and be approved by the Tennis Committee before registering with USTA / ALTA.
All Returning Teams must register their team using the website (creekstoneonline.com).Teams need to register within one week of ALTA/USTA beginning registration date each season. A Returning/Existing team is defined as a team that has already existed within CSE from the previous season in the same league ex: played out of CSE Spring Women Thursday ALTA and is returning to the CSE Fall Thursday ALTA league.
All captains are to submit team rosters by ALTA/USTA roster deadline (see ALTA/USTA Calendar for roster deadline).
The roster must be a official ALTA/USTA roster. Please submit roster via the website (creekstoneonline.com).
All ALTA, USTA and other similar league teams designated for home play at Creekstone Estates (CSE) shall be established primarily for the enjoyment and benefit of CSE residents
As a result, CSE residents shall represent:
- ALTA B & C and USTA 3.5 and Below: Roster shall include 50% or more of CSE residents.
- ALTA AA and A and USTA 4.0 and above: Rosters shall include at 25% or more of CSE residents
- Senior: Roster shall include 30% of CSE residents.
- Junior: Due to their limited participation, shall not at this time have such requirements.
Team schedules are due two weeks prior to start of the season to the Tennis Director. This is imperative to ensure court availability for home matches.
Team captains must fill out a Team Coaching Request Form in order to request coaching for their team.
Team captains must fill out a Court Practice Court Request Form in order to be scheduled for practice courts. All teams submitting a court reservations request will be guaranteed two courts, one day per week in season.
Every effort will be made to give each team their first choice on practice day and time, however, in some cases it may be necessary to assign the team their second or third choice for practice day.
Any team that does not conform to this approval system will not be allowed to play out of Creekstone Estates as their home courts.
Creekstone Estate residents must be in good standings with their Homeowner dues in order to utilize the tennis facilities.
Non-Resident Fees
A $25 non-resident tennis fee shall be collected per NR (non-resident) each season. All NR names on a roster must pay NR fee’s.
NR are considered to be those who do not reside in CSE or the Cottage’s at Creekstone.
It is the captains responsibility to collect the NR fee’s from the players. This can be done one of two ways:
- Only one check per team is accepted and should be made out to Creekstone Estates Tennis and given to the Tennis Director.
- The captain can also go on our website creekstoneonline.com and pay via credit card. NR also have the ability to pay on the website and pay for themselves.
Starting 1/1/2014 all NR fee’s will be paid on our website via credit card.
The NR fees are due two weeks prior to the first match date of the season with a copy of the team roster.
Teams that do not pay their dues on time will not be provided courts at CSE. If fees are not paid in full, the team will not be allowed to play out of CSE and we will notify USTA/ALTA to remove your team from their database as a CSE Team. This will be strictly enforced. Our suggestion is do not allow anyone to sign up for your team unless they pay their fees to you. It has become very difficult for the tennis committee to follow up with captains to collect fees. It is your responsibility to collect the fees if you want your team to play at CSE.
Additional Rules
Organized CSE tennis teams shall make every effort to efficiently utilize their allotted times and courts to minimize any potential inconvenience that team play might have on others seeking to also utilize the courts.
Following league matches or practices, Captains shall ensure that the courts and their surrounding areas are cleaned of all food, trash and other debris. This includes wiping down tables tops and grills. All umbrella’s must be lowered down and if moved, put back in proper placement. All lights and fans should be turned off and all clubhouse doors must be closed.
All Creekstone Estates league teams are open to any and all residents. No captain/team may discourage or turn away one or more interested, resident player(s) for reasons such as team size, player ability, etc. However, if one or more interested person’s official level of play affects the playing level if a team; the interested player(s() and team captain should review this matter privately at a time prior to roster submission, Impact on a team level will be calculated and if the resulting impact on level of play is greater than one flight, the simple majority opinion of the team members should guide in the decision process. If agreement cannot be reached the issue can be appealed to the tennis committee where a majority opinion will prevail.
All team captains must to be respectful and show good sportsmanship towards both their fellow team members as well as their opponents, as this reflects greatly upon how our community is generally perceived. Likewise, all team members are to exhibit equal respect and sportsmanship towards their captains, teammates and opponents. Complaints against a CSE Player will be review by the tennis committee and the player/team may be suspended and/or their privileges of playing out of CSE can be revoked.
We want to recognize all that our team captains are and have been doing, because without them and their efforts, CSE would not have the kind of tennis program we now have. Thank you.
The CSE Tennis Committee reserves the right to revoke the or suspend any teams’ or individual privilege of playing out of CSE if they are found to not follow the rules as set forth above.
